1. General Provisions
1.1. These Terms and Conditions specify the rules of participation in the language course organized by Katarzyna Słabik Kurs Polska, hereinafter referred to as the Organizer. A person participating in the course is hereinafter referred to as the Course Participant.
1.2. Enrollment in a language course constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Enrollment and Cancellation Rules – Individual and Group Courses
2.1. Enrollment in a course takes place by completing the application form and paying the full course fee or – in the case of installment payments – the first installment.
2.2. In the case of a group course, admission to a specific group is determined on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to payment.
2.3. Cancellation of a course before its commencement may be submitted in writing or via an e-mail message to the Organizer’s address: kurspolska.ks@gmail.com. In the event of cancellation before the start of the first class, the Course Participant is entitled to a refund of the paid amount, which may be reduced by the actual, justified, and documented costs incurred by the Organizer (e.g., costs of purchasing dedicated materials or reserving a slot that the Organizer could not recover). The Organizer is obliged to provide the Course Participant with a detailed calculation of these costs.
2.5. The Course Participant has the right to withdraw from the course during its term. The notice period is 1 month, effective at the end of the calendar month (meaning: the notice period is calculated from the 1st day of the month following the month in which the notice of withdrawal was submitted). If the Course Participant selected a payment method other than monthly, they are entitled to a refund of a proportional part of the fee for the unused part of the course, after settling the classes that took place up to the date of termination of the agreement upon the expiry of the notice period.
3. Payment Terms
3.1. The course can be paid for in one of the following forms:
- a) One-time payment for the entire course. The payment must be made at least 7 days before the first class.
- b) In two equal installments (the due dates for installments are determined individually).
- c) Monthly. Payment must be made at least 7 days before the first day of the month to which the payment applies.
- d) It is possible to arrange alternative payment dates – this is determined individually upon the Course Participant’s request.
3.2. Payments must be made to the designated bank account of the Organizer or to the Organizer’s PayPal account.
3.3. Failure to pay on time may result in the suspension of the Course Participant’s rights or exclusion from the course.
4. Organization of Classes and Absences
4.1. Classes are held in accordance with the agreed schedule provided to the Course Participants before the start of the course.
4.2. In the event that classes are canceled by the Organizer, participants are entitled to:
- a) Making up the class at another time.
- b) A refund of a proportional part of the fee (in case it is not possible to make up the class).
4.3. In the case of group courses, the Course Participant’s absence from classes does not entitle them to a refund for the missed lessons or to demand that they be made up at another time. The price of the group course is calculated as a fee for reserving a place in the group and the Organizer’s readiness to provide services. In the event of an absence, the Course Participant has the right to receive detailed information about the material covered during the class and to receive additional materials if they were used in that lesson. The materials will be provided via e-mail or in person.
4.4. In the case of individual courses, the Course Participant has the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson without incurring costs, provided that this fact is reported directly to the Organizer or via e-mail (kurspolska.ks@gmail.com) at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of the class. The new lesson date will be determined in consultation with the Organizer. If it is not possible to establish a new date, the Course Participant is entitled to a refund for that lesson. Notice of absence given less than 24 hours before the class, or failure to give notice at all, results in the lesson being deemed to have taken place and no refund will be issued.
5. Obligations of Participants
5.1. Course Participants are required to arrive / log in to classes punctually.
5.2. Course Participants are required to respect the rules of social conduct and to respect other participants and the instructor.
5.3. All teaching materials provided by the Organizer are protected by copyright and may not be copied or distributed without the Organizer’s prior consent.
6. Liability of the Organizer

6.2. The Organizer possesses appropriate pedagogical qualifications to teach Polish as a foreign language.
6.3. The Organizer shall not be held liable for personal items left by participants on the premises of the building where classroom-based (in-person) classes take place.
6.4. If scheduled online classes do not take place due to technical problems on the part of the Organizer, the lesson will be conducted at the next available date. If it is impossible to conduct the missed lesson due to the Organizer’s fault, the Course Participant is entitled to a refund for that lesson.
7. Terms of Use for Electronically Supplied Services

In the event of exceptional circumstances, the period for reviewing a complaint may be extended up to 30 days, of which the Course Participant will be informed. The response to the complaint will be provided electronically or in writing.
9. Right of Withdrawal from the Agreement
9.1. A Course Participant who is a consumer or a natural person concluding an agreement directly related to their business activity (when the content of this agreement indicates that it is not of a professional nature for that person) has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days from the date of its conclusion, without giving any reason and without incurring costs (subject to items 9.4 and 9.5).
9.2. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Course Participant must inform the Organizer of their decision by means of an unequivocal statement sent by e-mail to: kurspolska.ks@gmail.com or in writing to the address of the Organizer’s registered office. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the statement before its expiry.
9.3. In the event of withdrawal from the agreement, the Organizer shall refund all payments received from the Course Participant immediately, and no later than 14 days from the day on which the statement was received. The refund will be made using the same method of payment as used by the Course Participant, unless they have expressly agreed to a different method of refund that does not entail any costs for them.
9.4. If, at the express request of the Course Participant, the provision of the service (commencement of classes) is to begin before the expiry of the withdrawal period, the Course Participant is obliged to pay for the services actually provided up to the point of withdrawal. The payment amount is calculated proportionally to the extent of the service provided.
9.5. The Course Participant shall not have the right of withdrawal in the case of agreements for the supply of digital content which is not recorded on a tangible medium (e.g., ready-made video materials, VOD courses, e-books), if the performance has begun with the Course Participant’s express consent before the expiry of the withdrawal period and after being informed by the Organizer about the loss of the right of withdrawal.

Participants will be informed of any changes via e-mail at least 14 days prior to their entry into force. In the event of non-acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions, the Course Participant has the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect.
11.2. Upon reading and accepting these Terms and Conditions by the Course Participant, a civil law agreement is concluded. In matters not regulated by these Terms and Conditions, the relevant provisions of the Polish Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act shall apply.
